Erin Sterenson
President
Dr. Sterenson is board certified in adult psychiatry and consultation-liaison psychiatry. She completed her residency and fellowship at Mayo Clinic in Rochester, Minnesota. She has special interests in ethics and medicine as well as integrating what we know about psychiatric illness and physical illness.
Elijah Uecker
Vice President
Elijah Uecker is former teacher, a Teach for America alumnus, and a law student at the University of Tennessee. He is married and has three children.
Jackie Rekstad
Treasurer
Jackie is currently a homemaker for her family, and has also helped others in managing their families through her previous work as a nanny and currently as a Personal Care Assistant (PCA) for the elderly and those with special needs. Jackie graciously handles much of the administrative tasks of ACFH.
Joe Vieau
Secretary
Joseph Vieau is retired after 35 years of public service with the Department of Transportation in the USA. He has years of experience donating his time to charitable organizations and provides historical knowledge to the organization.
Salah Ahmed
Board Member
Salah Ahmed is a public health professional (MPH) specializing in mental health and education. He received the majority of his professional training at Anoka Regional Treatment Center in Minnesota, USA.
Dale A Armstrong
Board Member
Dr. Armstrong, MD is Board Certified in Adult, Child, and Adolescent psychiatry. He spent the first 22 years of his career in private practice, primarily in rural Iowa and then transitioned into public psychiatry. He now lives in Olympia, WA and commutes to Somaliland to continue his work there. When in Washington state he also works 3 days a month for the Quinault Indian Nation on the Olympic Peninsula.
Bodhi Kannon
Board Member
Dr. Kannon hails from Seattle, WA originally, where she attended the University of Washington for medical school and residency. She is board certified in psychiatry.
Suzanne Witterholt
Board Member
Dr . Witterholt has dedicated her career to public psychiatry and is an expert in Dialectical Behavior Therapy. She is currently the medical director of complex care for the Allina Health Care System.
