Mission

Our Mission

ACFH works to address the needs of those who are suffering from mental illness utilizing evidence-based treatments delivered through a culturally appropriate lens. This is achieved through provision of mental health care services, training, and research. Our special focus is on trauma related conditions.

Vision

Our Vision

We envision a world where everyone has equitable access to professional mental health care. We are supporting Somalia and the rest of Africa by creating and implementing evidence-based treatment and research that is humanistic and culturally informed.

Multidisciplinary Association for Psychedelic Science

The Multidisciplinary Association for Psychedelic Studies (MAPS) is an American nonprofit organization working to raise awareness and understanding of psychedelic substances. MAPS was founded in 1986 by Rick Doblin and is now based in San Jose, California.

Acceptance Change University

Based in Hargeisa, Somaliland, Acceptance Change University (ACU) is a full-service graduate institution dedicated to multidisciplinary education. Our curriculum spans social sciences, human development, English language studies, and various other fields. Uniquely, ACU also operates an Institutional Review Board (IRB), providing essential research oversight and collaboration for scholars throughout the East Africa region. We are committed to being a one-stop destination for advanced learning and ethical research in areas that improve individual and societal outcomes.
